Kati enjoys working with older children, adolescents and adults to assist them with managing issues, stressors and concerns related to life challenges. Kati provides a safe welcoming environment where you feel comfortable enough through feeling heard and validated to discuss any topic. Kati has experience working with the following diagnoses and issues: adjustment disorder, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD (as well as academic issues), bipolar disorder, low self-esteem, relational issues including parent-child relationships, social skills, trauma, life planning and decision making. Kati wants you to feel empowered to make the necessary changes in your life that you see fit and achieve your desired life goals.
Kati enjoys the following modalities: CBT, DBT, play therapy, solution focused, motivational interviewing and reality therapy.
Kati has been a LPC since January 2020 and has about 7 years experience in the field. Kati earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from Roanoke College and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Radford University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in School Based and Community Based settings.
