Stacey is a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about supporting individuals and strengthening families. Stacey has experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, adjustment problems, stress, and life transitions. She has clinical interests in parent/child attachment and maternal mental health, as well as working with those who are new to counseling or seeking to learn more about mental health and overall wellness. We all deserve a safe space for reflection, processing, and healing to occur.
Stacey has specialized training and experience providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to children and adolescents. Other commonly used, evidence-based approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), & Radically-Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT). Stacey uses an eclectic approach that draws from different counseling methods in order to have flexibility in meeting each individual where they are.
Stacey has been licensed in the state of Virginia since 2019 and a National Certified Counselor since 2018. She completed her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University (2016) and Bachelors in Human Development & Family Studies at Virginia Tech (2011). Stacey brings clinical experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, TeleHealth, school-based, in-home, crisis stabilization, & community based settings as well as experience with all age groups.
