Crystal is Reiki II Certified as well as a Certified Angel Card Reader, having received her training in person from Doreen Virtue, PhD and has been practicing energy work professionally since October of 2013. Crystal also has an Associates in Human Services obtained locally at New River Community College as well as over a decade of experience working with people in a variety of settings including Crisis Counseling, Group Leadership and Teaching in both one on one settings as well as in class room settings. Crystal currently provides Reiki and Energy Services and Tarot Card Readings, in addition to hosting numerous classes, talks and groups at Life in Balance.

I consciously began on my path to healing in my early 20’s. Life had always been such an uncertain, emotional roller coaster for me and I was ready to understand the meaning behind my suffering. I had spent many years in traditional counseling and had found it helpful, but I was always left feeling like I needed more than what this method of healing could provide alone and I wasn’t sure what it was.

I began reading and learning more and more about how my thoughts, feelings, beliefs, perceptions and actions effected my life. The more I learned, the more I came to realize I did not know myself very well and this was the true source of my suffering. I had spent my whole like doing what everyone else said I should do, never taking the time to recognize my own feelings. Once I recognized this I began to take control of my life.

It has taken many years and a lot of mistakes to realize that healing and growth are a never ending process in this life. But it is through accepting that we are always growing and changing, which requires us to be active in our decisions, that I have been able to take responsibility for my own well being and embrace life in a way that allows me to help others do the same.

What being a healer means to me

A Healer is simply someone who assist you in remembering how to heal, what ever part of you that is suffering. That can be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual suffering. A Healer helps you to remember that you are a perfectly designed Being with the natural ability to heal, you simply need to find the tools that work for you. As a Healer I will assist you in finding the tools that work best for you and show you how they can fit into your everyday life.
